Introduction

Designing aquatic technology systems in a building is very complex. Pool technology interfaces with all design disciplines including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and even acoustics. The design team therefore needs specialist design input, to ensure the aquatic facilities are accommodated in the design of the building, for construction and through life operation. 

FT Consulting provides pre-construction design services to the public swimming pool industry. 

We ideally would like to be involved in a project from RIBA stage 2 onwards, to give us opportunity to positively influence the building design from the outset and to avoid operational compromises. Our services continue from this point up to the end of RIBA Stage 4, when the project is ready to enter the construction phase.
